A single round bead in bright golden-yellow gold leaf under clear lacquer hangs from a small gold ball stud. The surface is glossy with a fine, even gold shimmer, and a small gold end bead sits at the base.

Each bead is built on a sandalwood core and coated in natural lacquer laid with gold leaf by hand. The studs are 14k gold. Because the leaf and lacquer are applied by hand, each piece varies a little in colour and pattern, and photographs are for reference.

The story
A small round bead is built on a sandalwood core, coated in natural lacquer and laid with gold leaf by hand, giving an even, bright golden-yellow shimmer under a glossy surface. Because the leaf is pressed on by hand, the finish varies a little from bead to bead and each is unique. Hung from a small 14k gold ball stud and about 1.5 cm long, it sits close to the lobe and suits everyday wear.

Technique

Keep dry and away from perfume, lotion and heat. Do not leave in strong sunlight. Wipe with a soft dry cloth and store alone in its pouch.
